His motto FOE- "Family Over Everything" Bringing the families together with his students. The parents decorating players lockers,  and  keeping them involved.

Pasadena South Rotary Club honored Reiko Denison today as a long time member and supporter of our Club.

Today we honor 5 High School Students with Scholarships from Sam Rayburn HS and South Houston High School.
And our 2 Jr Rotarians from Sam Rayburn High School
 
Jelithza Miranda of South Houston High School will receive the William P. Jones Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. She will graduate number 52 in a class of 551 students with a grade point average of 4.276- She plans to attend University of Houston to pursue Pre-Med to become a General Dr.
Jelithza is the daughter of Joel and Juana Miranda
 
Sandra Lopez of Sam Rayburn High School will receive the Buddy Gillioz Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. She will graduate number 22 in a class of 609 students with a grade point average of 4.59. She plans to attend University of Houston to study education, specifically Special Education or in the Social Services Field.
Sandra is the daughter of Audres Lopez and Hayde Estrada
 
Noe Rodriguez of Sam Rayburn High School will receive the Norman S. Clauson Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. He will graduate number 26 in a class of 609 students with a grade point average of 4.48. He plans to attend San Jacinto College to study either Engineering or Healthcare field, He is researching jobs that can combine the two together like Biomedical Engineering.
Noe is the son of Jose and Irasema Rodriguez.
 
Daisy Curiel of South Houston High School will receive the Pasadena South Rotary Club President’s Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. She will graduate number 56 in a class of 551 students with a grade point average of 4.23. She plans to attend Sam Houston State University and major in Criminal Justice.
Daisy is the daughter of Jose Curiel and Perla Sisa
 
Edgar Gonzalez-Vega of Sam Rayburn High School will receive the LCpl Garrett Gamble Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. He will graduate number 76 in a class of 609 students with a grade point average of 4.106. He plans to attend San Jacinto College to combine two majors, Criminal Justice and Psychology into a degree in Criminal Psychology.
Edgar is the son of Edgar Gonzalez Castro and Lina Vega Morales.

Art Del Barrio did an AMAZING job smoking 28 briskets and organizing this evening’s club fundraiser benefiting scholarships for Pasadena ISD students!

Constable Phil Sandlin and Asst Chief Jeff Lamar from Harris County Pct 8 visited our club today with some helpful info on how to Respond to an Active Shooter.
 
 
They showed us some of the different firearms they use.

Howard Burg, Guinness Book of World Record holder for World's Fastest Reader. He read more than 25,000 words a minute and writing more than 100 words a minute. Howard uses his talents to train you on how to stay on top of the information your success depends upon.
Some students from San Jacinto Intermediate School joined us to see Howard Burg and get some good pointers on their memory.
